It's What Mundare is All About

Welcome to Mundare Soaps - the company that is dedicated to purity of body and soul. If you know Latin then you know that Mundare means "Be made clean." In fact the name was inspired by the gospel story of Jesus healing the leper (Mk 1:41):

Si vis, potes me mundare. Iesus autem misertos aius extendit manum suam et tangens eum ait illi: VOLO MUNDARE.

"If you wish you can make me clean." Moved with pity, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean!"


Outer purity is the aim in washing ourselves with soap, and as far as great handcrafted soaps go, Whey Better Farms soap is amazing. However, I am sorry to say that the business is officially closed as of the end of April.  I want to thank all my loyal customers who bought my specialty soaps that you could not find anywhere else: like my Scripture soap that came with a Bible verse embedded right in the middle of the soap.

There was another way that this soap company was different. We hoped you wouldn't want to stop at a clean that is only skin deep.
Pages left on this website give you an opportunity to explore what inner cleanliness is about: that purity that Jesus spoke about when He said, "Blessed are the clean of heart for they shall see God." Fact is, anyone who sets their mind to it can become clean of heart - with a little effort and with the help of God's grace. By clicking on some of the highlighted links especially on the non-soap pages, you will be led to different advice on how to become clean and pure of heart.
This is from a Christian, specifically Catholic perspective, because the soap maker at Mundare Soaps also happens to have a Master's degree in theology.
So melded for a time two of the passions in my life: really good quality soap and faith.
