Perhaps, as I once did, you have simply passed by, thinking to yourself, "Soap? What could be so special about hand made soap? Modern-made soap is better for you than old-fashioned soap. I am perfectly happy with the one I am using now. Besides, mine is so much cheaper." Well, this is an instance where ignorance is not bliss. I finally discovered "real" soap a few years ago. I immediately felt the difference and have not bought supermarket or drug store soap since. You see, what is thought of as soap in the supermarket is actually called a "body bar." Companies producing such bars cannot legally call their product "soap", because it is not in fact soap. Naturally made soap contains up to 25% glycerin, which helps to attract moisture to your skin. In most supermarket "bars" the glycerin is removed after the soap-making process, which thus allows the company to sell it as a separate product. Detergent ingredients are also often added which can be harsh to skin. Attracted to the purity of a good, honest bar of soap, I began making my own soap experimenting with the goat's milk from my children's 4-H project. WOW! Friends and family were thrilled to receive my artisanal quality, handcrafted soap as gifts. I was hooked and the rest is history. My handcrafted soap is made from scratch using high quality ingredients from recipes that I have designed myself for specific skin needs. Each batch is unique because a human being created it - not a machine.Since I have begun making bath soap I have made over 100 different recipes! It's not unusual to catch me daydreaming about my next "works of art." You might say that my creativity gets the best of me! Here you will find a wide variety of styles and scents to choose from -- there is something here for everyone. Because the soaps are made in small batches the quantities are sometimes limited. From start to finish it takes about a month to produce hand made soaps. Since I have begun selling my soaps I am used to hearing comments such as these: "I thought your soap was expensive and was reluctant to buy a bar but, boy, am I glad I did! It was incredible!" or "My husband has psoriasis and I had him wash with your soap when he felt another outbreak coming on. He can't believe what a difference it has made for his skin!" So come on.
